How long is your Barber/Cosmetology/Instructor Training Program?

Our Program is designed for enrolled students to complete it in as little as nine months. However, your final end date will be determined by how often you attend and participate in classes and complete the curriculum. We encourage you to go at our pace so that you can begin the next phase of your career as a professionally licensed Barber, Cosmetologist or Instructor!

Can I obtain more than one License?

Yes. You can obtain a Cosmetology, Barber and/or Instructor's License. These do involve separate costs and we may be able to discuss financial options with you at the time of your enrollment.

Are your Programs State-Approved?

Yes! All of our Programs and Curriculum are state approved by the State of Georgia.

College FAQ

Can I work and attend your Training Programs?

Absolutely. Our Programs are designed for the working student and most of our classes and workshops are held in the late afternoon/early evenings.

What happens if I decide to withdraw? Am I entitled to a refund?

If you have pre-paid and decide to withdraw before the end of your Training Program, you may not be entitled to a full refund. Our Early Withdrawal Policy is as follows: 0- 4 Weeks 80% will be refunded 5 - 8 Weeks 70% will be refunded 9 - 12 Weeks 60% will be refunded 13 - 16 Weeks 50% will be refunded 17 Weeks - No Refund

How many classes/workshops/Student Salon sessions can I miss?

While we prefer you attend all classes, workshops and student salon sessions, we do realize unexpected emergencies and situations come up. If you need to miss a class, workshop or assigned Student Salon session for any reason it will be your responsibility to inform us by email and it will also be your responsibility to discuss with us how you can make up the missed day(s) so that you receive the total hours needed to receive your designated license.

What if I am late to a class, workshop or Student Salon?

All students will receive a 15 minute grace period. If you will be arriving after 15 minutes, we ask that you give us the courtesy of contacting us by phone or text and letting us know you will be arriving at a later time. If you have a scheduled appointment in the salon with a customer who has listed you as their preferred stylist, we will ask the client if they would like to wait for your arrival or reschedule for a different day and have you follow-up and re-schedule with the client.

How many total hours will I receive at the end of your Program?

You will receive the state required 1500 hours.

Can I use my own tools?

Yes. You can bring and work with your own tools. We are not responsible for your tools while they are on the property of Cold Cutters Barber & Cosmetology College.

Will I be able to photograph my student client work onsite and promote it on line/ social media?

You must receive prior written or verbal Instructor Approval to photograph and/or video Client Work onsite. Any photographs or videos made onsite of you and/or Clients may also be used in Cold Cutters Barber & Cosmetology marketing and promotions online and offline.

Student Salon FAQ

Will I need to provide my own products?

We have products in stock, but if you have specific products you prefer we use, you may provide them and give them to your student stylist for use on your hair. We are no liable for any unintended results that may occur from usage of your products on your hair.

Do you sell hair?

At this time, we do not. We do work with a select/preferred vendors that we can recommend for you to purchase your hair. For styles that require additional hair (i.e., sew-ins, crochet) we require that you arrive with your hair.

I hate waiting. How long will it take me to be seen if I'm a walk-in?

We understand. Waiting is never fun. While we can't guarantee you'll never have to wait on a service, we can assure you if you do, it'll be worth the wait. We typically begin working with our clients in a timely manner, but if you are requested to wait, we'll inform you and give you an estimate on how long the wait will be, so that you can run errands or come back during the designated time if need be. We also encourage you to schedule Appointments to ensure your time is reserved.

I am not sure what hair style I want. Can you give me ideas?

To make the best use of your time and our students, it is recommended that you come in with an idea or a few photos of the kind of hair style you would like. Our students can then, better access your style choices and help you determine the style that will best compliment your hair type and facial features.

Can I see the same Student Stylist?

Absolutely. We recommend you choose a new student and a senior student, to ensure you have continuous service. We also recommend you pre-book appointments with the Student(s) to ensure their availability.

What if my Student Stylist is not available or doesn't show up for my Appointment / Walk-In?

If your preferred Stylist is unavailable, we recommend you re-schedule with them. If that is not an option for you, you can choose to have another Student Stylist perform your service and return to your preferred Student Stylist for your next visit.

I have a large family. Do you offer discounts?

Our prices are set well below Market Prices. For example, a family of 5 may spend upwards of $200 - $300 for hair styles and hair cuts. At our Student Salon, you may spend half. We do offer special promotions from time-to-time that can give you additional savings. Our clients often rave about our high quality and low prices.

Do you offer refunds?

No, all services are final. If you are unhappy with a service, let us know and we will work to resolve the issue.
